The Stairs

Photo : Agus d Laksono

A Stairs for me it's like a cicle of life, there is a time you go up, and there is a time you should go down, and even sometime you like for being just in the midlle.

When you go up the stairs, it's always full pasion, ambitions, hope, successfull, rising a star.

But when you go down, the world it's  not stop yet, sometimes we should go down 3 step to climb 5 step, or maybe we need step down to improve our basic skill, or to fullfill our ammo before going up again.

Ands when you in the middle you could see everything, you could pause a litlle time for a while, to think, to take a deep breath, look around, thanks to god, then step by step move again, climb to the top of your dream.

Stairs Poem
Others photography, i like read a poem, poem for me it an art of writen. I am not good for write a poem, but i like read it, and apreciated people who could made a word as an art.

I found this poem related about this stair photo. It's simple poem, writen by A.A Milne, one of clasical and historical writer.

Halfway down the stairs
is a stair
where i sit.
there isn't any
other stair
quite like
it.
i'm not at the bottom,
i'm not at the top;
so this is the stair
where
I always
stop.

Halfway up the stairs
Isn't up
And it isn't down.
It isn't in the nursery,
It isn't in town.
And all sorts of funny thoughts
Run round my head.
It isn't really
Anywhere!
It's somewhere else
Instead!

A litle story about A.A Milne
A. A. (Alan Alexander) Milne (1882-1956), famous for his stories about Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin, Tigger, Piglet and the rest, was a soldier in the Great War from 1915 to 1919 -- including the Battle of the Somme. Milne's poem "From a Full Heart" was included in The Sunny Side (1921), and prophesies his post-war retiring action from such woods as Delville, High, Mametz, and Trones, to Pooh's "The Hundred Acre Wood." Milne died in England in 1956.  (source : allpoetry.com)

How to made this Photo
To made a good photo it's not always use high end or full lighting equipment. This photo i made at one of my photo assigment. at that location, i look a modern minimalist stairs, so i tried find a good spot, nice angle, look direction of lighting for backlighting, for made a litle siluet effect, then shoot it.

Camera i used Nikon D200 with Nikon lens 24-85mm, i used tripod to lock an angle, and used a low speed with the sharp deep of field, with a bird eye view.

Good morning and have a nice day :)
