Hospitality shoot in Lampung

Several month ago, i have a call from a friend, to take a shoot of hospitality Industry, a hotel.  Four star hotel, Emersia Hotel Lampung, with a modern architecture, a business and a family hotel in Bandar Lampung, the city of  Lampung,  South of Sumatra, Indonesia. 

They give me a number  and the listing of item that their want me to shoot. We made a time table and list of sample image. With this, we knew how long we need to do this assignment. it was taken in 5 day photo shoot, for 15 item.  After all preparation done then went to Lampung and started shooting.

In hospitality photography, there is several type of photography that we should know. First is Interior and architectural photography. This is the main course of this industries. How we shoot their infrastructure facility like interior room,  lobby, restaurant, reception area and other.  Exterior shoot for taking building, beautiful garden, and swimming pool.

This Ocean Suite Room,  a room with modern interior design, and a luxury President Suite Room,  those type have  view cityscape , mountain, and  Java Ocean. in the night we can see citylight Bandar Lampung city.

The second is, we should have knowledge in potrait and activity photography, this photo it's using for a hospitality images, made a personal image for staff to show a smile, kindness, helpful and professional look.

Other skill we should have is food photography.  Usualy when we took a hotel and resort photo it's always 1 package with several shoot of Food and Beverages photo. F&B departement is always represent of the hotel. In this Emersia hotel we made a 5 menu food shoot.

 This Indonesia food, Sop buntut ( Oxtail soup) and Iga Bakar (grilled ribs) it's chef recomended, the popular menu in this hotel.

Hospitality shoot is  project team, i can not do it only with my photography team, all departement in hotel working together to made  outstanding photo. It's a honor to me, could working togerher with a profesional hospitality hotel team.

Equipmet
In this project we using a Nikon Camera D7000 with 2 lens. A standart lens 18-105 mm Nikon lens, and a Wide angle Tokina 11-16 mm, and 5 point lighting system. How many  lighting that we used is depent on situation.
