Food Project for Butterlover Kitchen
During this one year, in my spare time, i made simple project with my spouse and my son Zio. We made food photography together. She made a little brand Butterlover Kitchen in pasta, pastries and desert, a small scale industry, a small business from home. It's a fun project for her.
She made a cake and i made a photo with simple idea and sometimes she made a idea for photo than i do for photography technique, and for assistant, Zio a 6 year boy, help me so much, every tools and photo props it a toys from him, together 3 of us are collaborated.
There is two type of photo that we shoot, first it a documentary food photo, a usual shoot, photo documentation for every project that she made. In this type of photo, often we just used cellular phone camera.
The second type is made a food photo with a artistic angle. in this type i used my DSLR camera.
Play time in photography like this help me to increase my skill and intuition, i call it a learning process. Learn it with fun, enthusiastic, and playful.
For me it's not just about knowing the lighting system, in one condition i relearn about lighting, increasing my intuition about technical, light direction, light and shadow.
In other way i learn to create mood, balancing color between main object with surrounding, background, and props, and the import learn working process, and simulation teamwork.
All this photo shoot using DSLR Camera Nikon D7000 with Nikon lens 18 - 105 mm, and one photo Kastangel made with Nikon lens 100mm Macro. For lighting system, i used 1 - 2 point lighting, some photo combine with windows lighting.
Remember, always made our learning process full of fun.
